My research investigates the intersection of artistic creation, sustainability, and the environmental impact of electronic waste, focusing on cobalt recycling. I explore the concept of Techno-ceramics, where ceramic objects are crafted using materials derived from urban mining and discarded digital devices, rather than extractive practices. By examining the geological implications of digital culture’s remnants, my work seeks to question the role of crafts in the digital age. I aim to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations, connecting geology, art, and technology, while advocating for sustainable practices in artistic production.
