VICARTE is a partnership between the NOVA School of Science and Technology and the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Universidade de Lisboa. VICARTE’s members come from both FCT NOVA and FBA/UL, and also from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Oporto (FBA/UP) and School of Arts and Design, Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (ESAD/IPL).

International Advisory Board provides comments, suggestions and recommendations with respect to the activities of VICARTE, on the basis of reports and visits. For the period 2018-2022 the advisory board will be constituted by Trinitat Pradell (Full professor, Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, Spain), Carlo Pantano (Distinguished Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, Penn State University, USA), Jeroen Maes (Artistic Director, Het GlazenHuis, Belgium) and Stephen Koob (Conservator in Chief, Corning Museum of Glass, USA).
