I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Conservation and Restoration FCT NOVA, responsible for the areas of Glass and Ceramics Conservation and Heritage Conservation and Sustainability. My research, which has so far resulted in over 40 publications, has been focused on the development of innovative methodologies to study historical glass that combines glass archaeometry, archaeology, history, stylistic aspects, history, and production methodologies. The driving force that conducts my research is the desire to tell the untold story of Portuguese glass production, which goes from the Roman period to the Industrial Revolution.
