Fernando Moletta is a visual artist and a research grant of the EMERGING project (DOI: 10.54499/2022.06772.PTDC) at Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon.
He has a five years degree in Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Paraná and a Master’s degree in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. Currently he is a PhD candidate in Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon, interested in the exploration of bio-materiality.
His artistic practice stems from the investigation of the burdens of modernism in contemporary times through the confrontation of temporal notions that speculate on failure, biopolitics, allegorical plasticity, and technological noises. These notions manifest as specters, hovering and intertwining to form a hybrid body of work that encompasses video, sculpture, and drawing through discursive material practices.
