Catarina Viola holds a Bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry and a Master’s degree in bioorganic chemistry, specializing in the synthesis and characterization of luminescent zeolites. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Chemistry with the subject: “Chalcogen-doped zeolites for near-infrared applications”, integrating VICARTE and LAQV-REQUIMTE research groups in NOVA FCT.
Her expertise includes material synthesis as well as structural and optical characterization of materials, using techniques such as XRD, XRF, and steady-state and time-resolved absorption and emission spectroscopies.
