Ana Ribeiro, born in 1997, is a Portuguese artist and a researcher at VICARTE and I2ads. She primarily works as a visual artist, focusing on the intersection between art and environmental issues. She began her artistic journey at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto, where she completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in painting and developed a practice centered around biomaterials. Since 2016, she has been working and exhibiting both individually and collectively, as well as participating in national and international biennials and artistic residencies. Currently in her Ph.D. research, she explores an ecology of mind, reimagining nature and wilderness as spaces of subversion.
