Amélie Girard is a multidisciplinary artist. Born in Canada in 1980, she first graduated with a Bachelor of Mathematics. She then travelled the world and eventually settled in Japan where she worked as an English teacher for a few years. It is upon her return to her home country in 2010 that she undertook an artistic career — and she never looked back. She recently completed a Master’s degree in Glass Art and Science at Universidade Nova de Lisboa and now shares her time between Canada and Portugal, where she continues to develop her artistic projects.
