Almudena Velo-Gala has a degree in Fine Arts (2002) and a PhD in History and Arts (2019) from the University of Granada entitled “Window glass and its use in Roman architecture in Baetica”. Since then, her research has focused on the study of archaeological glass, mainly from the Roman and Andalusi periods, from a typological and archaeometric methodology. After two years at the University of Murcia, with a postdoctoral contract from the Juan de la Cierva Formación program (ARHIS research group), she is currently developing the GALENE Project at the VICARTE Research Unit (FCT, UNL). This Project is funded by within the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship-2022 (REA) call and focused on the study of Andalusi glass dedicated to alchemy and medicine.
