The Corning Museum of Glass in New York has the largest glass collection in the world, from ancient artifacts to modern glass art.
Stephen Koob worked as Conservator from 1993 and retired as Chief Conservator Emeritus. He cared for thousands of glass objects, developing new repair techniques and sharing his knowledge through lectures and publications. The Conservation Department expanded, adding conservators, including one for contemporary glass.
This lecture focused on the challenges of glass conservation and gave a behind-the-scenes look at the Museum’s collection.
