Sílvia Sequeira holds a PhD in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, from Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (2016). Since 2004 her research career has been focused on the development of sustainable practical solutions for the preservation of our cultural heritage. She has also gained extensive experience into the practice of conservation and restoration of graphic documents and in preventive conservation of various types of collections. Since 2005, she has been teaching in higher education and supervising Master’s theses. She is co-Director and Associate Editor of the Open Access SCI Journal Conservar Património, co-founder of the NOVA Spin-Off NEON Art Conservation, and member of the international NGO Sustainability in Conservation.
